The Governor when met up with the students of Aulia Cendekia’s boarding school Palembang, Monday (09/02) said that the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) for the province of South Sumatra is not only limited to defending the good name of the nation and the country, but also contributed to unify the countries’s conflict.
This is because the participants of the Islamic countries will gather in Palembang, including the countries that are in conflict, so in that meeting, the peace will appear.
Beside that, the held of sport event among Islamic countries, it strengthens the unity of muslim nation itself.
So it is quite useful because the ISG is expected to unite the Islamic community, including the countries of being in a conflict, he said.
As regards, that international sports event should be success, so that it runs smoothly and make more harmonious friendship relations.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Boarding Schools Forum South Sumatera, Hendra Zainudin said, his side are ready to successful in that sports event of the Islamic countries.
This is because the cleric as a unifying the Muslims, so that all activities are mainly carried out the government should be successful.
He said, there are similarities between the clerics and the Government of the province of South Sumatra because both of them work together as an integrator/unifying.
The clerics are unify people, then the role of the Government of the province of South Sumatra to unify the country’s conflict.
Specifically for the participation at the ISG’s own it prepares students through liaison personnel including the clergy, he added.
